I just got my 02 tls with 25k on it and i have been seeing alot of post about tranny problems whats going on with them something i should be worried about ???? And i know there covered but after u get the first one replaced how long is the new one covered for thanks for the help..................

 

I believe the trannys are covered for 7 years / 100,000 miles. I don't think it matters whether it's the original or a replacement. You still get coverage up to 100,000 miles.

Do a search on the trayy issue. It's most common with the Type S, but Tl-P's with the five speed trannys have had problems as well.

I have an '02 TL-S, and I'm on my second tranny...

 

up to 100k on the car, not the tranny. (so if you ahve 80k on the car when the tranny goes the next one is only good for 20k miles before the warranty is up
