Getting rid of the TL

I just bought my TL about 6 months ago..and i simply love it...its a 99 with oem body kit..i put TL-S rims on it...anyways i was driving the other day and my car started to over heat alittle...little to my surprise there was a leak in the engine...its not bad but i dont want any problems when i go away to school..sooo to make a long story short..im going to give this car to my dad and probably get a 350Z touring ed. or a G35..not sure which yet..

Don't be surprised if you end up getting more problems than what you initially had. A newer car doesn't mean it's better. Especially Nissans. From a sedan to a sprots coupe may cost you in insurance as well. Check the premiums out first.

I agree. GO with a used car if you're gonna get a Nissan or Infiniti. You could save $5k to $10k!

Buying a new Acura is no better than buying a new Infiniti .. Acura hasn't had the best track record with their new cars either .. no matter what you buy .. it's a gamble .. I'll just stick to taking my 03 in for the numerous recalls *snaps fingers* that's right .. acura doesn't do recalls .. recalls bad ... stranded people on roadways are good

Best is find yourself an old copy of CR mag and look at the long term tests and reliability of cars. They rate the major/ minor problems of models and will give you a history of particular makes and models and how they rate after a few years. Invaluable data IMO.

hit the CL-S! You can buy one for the price of a CiviC.

I can attest to this with experience. Last year models are the most bang for the buck. Besides having all the kinks straightened out, you may get more optional eqpt thrown in and you can literally haggle to your advantage since they are eager to clear the lots for the new ones coming out. One reason I picked up the 03 TL-S is this. Besides getting the car waaaay below MSRP, they still qualified me for the low interest rate (3.8%) so with some money down, my monthly is just a tad more than a loaded Civic on prime rate.

G35 Coupe. End of story. I want to lease one purely as a weekend driver, using my '04 TL as my daily driver.

I am starting to want out too. I'm on 5 months and 4400 miles on my '03 TL-S and am getting disgusted. Monday will be the third visit in 1 month to my Acura dealer for the emissions light, and VSA lights coming on. First time, coil #5 went bad. Second time (according to them) was a false alarm. Who nows whats the problem NOW?!

umm.. where are you comming from?? look at the recent JD power charts.. nissan and infiniti is one big different company(i know nissan makes infiniti but they make inifiniti more superior) plus infiniti won best customer service in 2003 from JD power also... and for the 5-10k saving on infiniti's, it's usually correct but not for the 350z or g35... i'm sorry to pop the bubble off in tl forum but i gotta say it.. Infiniti G35coupe will hold better values than TL in fact better in 30-40k categories(and yes g35 beats bmw 3series also)... plz go to kbb.com for more info... i know it's tl forum but it has too much false infos...

Yup, that one point sure made the difference (betcha that's your survey).

Sorry about my "false infos" next time I'll make sure I contact J.D and the gang.

Have fun with your G.
