Get a Camber kit or not to get one....?

after 2 weeks of riding on my comptech springs, I found out my rear right was off factory specs. To be exact, it is -1.4.... should be in the area of 1 to -1

Now my questions is.... should i buy a camber kit to correct this or will frequent tire rotation by pass this problem? what do you guys think?

I have about same camber as you, -1.5 on both rears. The dealer that I talked to recommended a camber kit to be installed. So far I've been just rotating the tires and it looks like I have even wear on all 4 tires. By the way I lowered my car around early Jan.

it depends. A good alignment shop can tweak it so it will fall close to -1 range without camber it

I took my car to Sears Automotive center... because the dealer won't do it... they told me i needed a camber kit without even trying. What is considered a good alignment shop.

Next time I go to an alignment shop, i need to find one that will not scrape the bottome of my kit when they put my car on the lift. Those bastards at Sears scratched the bottom of my front lip.

I got camber kits on the front and rear. and I'm on a HR sport drop. It is all good though. I have no regrets.

i just ordered my rear camber kit for $200 with installation. it's from Revo Technica... not sure if those are good, but the shop that i take my car to recommended me to get them...

I hope no more future problems arise from lowering my car.... i would rather spend my money on buying more cosmetic goodies.

Did you get shocks also?

How much was it all total with installation?

No, I didn't get shocks. I'll worry about shocks when my stock ones go out. My TLs is a low mileage car and the stock shocks should last quite a bit.

In terms of how much i paid total for my suspension...

comptech springs and install = $360
Revo technica rear camber kit and install = 200 (this saturday)

is this because it will be safer when you corner at high speeds and not fish tail? or beacause of tire wear....

well i think that if the front wheels are also important to get camber kit because of un even tire wear due to fwd and hard accelerations.....
but that's if you have a major negative camber i guess...

imo i think that lowered Tl's without camber kits look more aggressive...
not sure about how everyone feels on this one....
i just don't like the way the wheels get tucked in....the wheels looks like they are pushed in and i'm not so sure if the handling gets worse from it....

BTW.... do most of the people with lowered TL's have camber kits?
i'm just wondering if people actually prefer the camber kits....
but off course it depends how low the car is lowered to.

the camber can't be "tweaked", the stock camber links have absolutely no adjustment..the only thing that can be adjusted is the toe..only way to "tweak" camber is by getting a camber kit
