I got my used Type-S last week,at first i got it,i felt my previous 00 TL-P with i/h/e were a little faster.and then after i moved all the parts to the S,it show more power right away,but wait a minute,i feel it is getting faster and faster by each day.(i really don't know why?)this is the 3rd day i got all the parts.

the ECU will adjust the powerband in a few days after you got the bolt ons

my TL-P is running too lean, i don't get the maximum potential of all the parts

gd to see your TL-S is running strong, it should be after those bolt ons, giving you 30whp gain

how do you know you are running lean? did you do a dyno run? I was wondering that myself for my car, I mean with a few bolt ons, I wonder if the ECU can adjust everything to get the max out of the mods - w/o running too lean or rich. Anything you can do to correct that?

dun think so
the TL-P setting is to run lean

after i put on each bolt on it just adjusted to the lean setting because of the increase flow from the exhaust

it upshifts sooner than the stock

Leaner = faster

You mean it's running rich, Sam.

A piggyback system such as E-manage, V-AFC, etc. -- these systems can override the air-to-fuel ratio to make the engine run richer or leaner.

It's a V-AFC II, the second generation one.

I'm waiting to get an exhaust system before getting it dyno-tuned. Hopefully soon. I've just been putting it off. It's interfering with the rev limiter from time to time, but it's only happened 4 times since I've had it. It's very intermittent, and seems to only happen when it's hot out. Apex'i has no fucking clue what could be causing the problem, but then again, that's the nature of complicated electronics.
