So while I was at this Japanese auto parts store in Toronto, looking for a new spindle for my car. I noticed in the back of their shop, a silver 99 TL front end...but it had a different bumper.

So I went to get a closer look and OMG! it was the JDM front end with fog lights as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I mean front end I mean hood and all...didnt check to see if it had the engine, since I was drooling at the fogs.

But the guy wont sell me just the bumper and fogs, he said he needs to sell the entire front end for $1500....... But don't worry Im going to keep calling him every week until he sells the bumper to me.

Question is, would the jdm hood fit our usdm? I need a new hood so, maybe I'll pick the hood and bumper up. Is there anything else I should check with the bumper? I know it's smaller then ours and will have to do some cutting I believe right?....

the bumper will fit without hood, fenders, etc... but it will not go together with the USDM Front lip.

you will also have to find the JDM front lip if you want to go kitted... and trust me, the bumper is easy to find compared to the front lip.

there's a bumper on Yahoo auctions once a week... theres a front lip on there... well, never..

I believe the USDM front lip will fit with some modifications. I believe it has to be shortened a little bit.

Okay thanks guys, I really wanted to get the fogs from the Japanese TL's instead of doing the civic ones. Hopefully the guy will stop being so stubborn and sell it to me.

I'll swing by his shop this weekend and get some pics.

 

^^ you can find the fogs on EBAY all the time... they would look great in the bumper if you took the time to cut the holes out.. i need to get on that... mine are just laying in a box somewhere..

 

Does JDM Foglight fit perfect in on USDM or need custom mod fix?
I remember AZ member having JDM Foglight on USDM bumper with no problem. Anyone remember his user name?

not really... they roll the bumer up like a burritto to save on shipping cost.... then its good luck after its shipped getting it back to original shape.. it says in the sale description..
