lol, I know that. I'm just deciding between the AV6 Magnaflow catback and Greddy Evo 2 exhaust.

The first batch of parts come in tomorrow! It'll be the handbrake assembly, hydraulic lines, and clutch pedal assembly. I'll try to make a DIY with lots of pics (Got myself a Canon SD 450 on clearance at walmart for $150. I love it! ) while I do the mod afternoon/evening.

Goos luck Joe. Please do the DIY I know I'll need all the help I can get.

PS: I prefer ovular mufflers so I would lean towards the AV6 magnaflow. That or Apexi or my Tanabe

I was dying for the Apexi's that another AZ member had, but he never got back to me about them. This was a while back. I'll try to go ahead and take detailed pictures.

Here's the first pic at the moment; this is the compressor I bought to make life easier. It came with a kit, air hose, and more.

Also... fsttyms1, one thing i'm worried about is a fuel line that has to be disconnected... where exactly would I be looking for it when it comes to removing the engine?

Look what came in today

Unfortunately, I have to order nuts and bolts since the pedal don't come with anything.

The Tein basics and a few other items are coming very shortly!

hey fsttyms1, here's an addition to the list you have now. Since Carland doesn't provide the nuts and bolts you'd need when you order the pedal's bracket and parking brake assembly, here's the addition to the list: You could find these at home depot as well...well, some of these.

For the Cluth Pedal Assembly

92201-10070-0J BOLT, HEX. (10X70)
93403-08016-08 BOLT-WASHER (8X16)
46981-SR3-930 BUSH A, ASSISTANT CLUTCH (2)
46907-SR3-010 SPRING, CLUTCH ASSISTANT (2)
46535-SM4-000 COLLAR, PEDAL
94070-08080 NUT-WASHER (8MM)
94002-12080-0S NUT, HEX. (12MM) (2)

For Parking brake Assembly
93402-08030-08 BOLT-WASHER (8X30) (3)
93892-04012-08 SCREW-WASHER (4X12)
47342-SZ3-003 SWITCH, PARKING BRAKE

good luck dude, this is going to be tough. fyi, if you have an ace hardware near you, you can find pretty much every bolt there as well as nuts and screws. they are quicker (usu. in stock) and cheaper as well

I'm going to try to get everything done before April's Florida Mega Meet. It'll be a long process (probably about 1.5 months because of school and work) so I'll update you guys with pics as I go along. It's time to put an end to the hideous tranny problems I have now.

The Sways will be on their way soon along with a Tein Basic setup (hoping ), and everything else are already coming in the mail from the lip kit, clutch set, shifter, cables, etc. I got my compressor and tools on clearance for only $145 so I'm happy with that purchase The only thing I'm missing is the Helms manual, I've looked all over and haven't been able to find a retailer with one in stock for the '03 CL-S 6MT. If you do find such a place, it'd be a huge help. Also, anyone that wants my gauge cluster (for the '99) with the complete LED conversion (white + blue) done do it, let me know and I'll give it away to you for a reasonable price. Thanks!

The first batch of pics will come sometime tonight. Wish me luck!
Sound crazy!! It will indeed be a sick conversion! Good luck with it!!

You got any pix of the guage cluster?? Would it fit on a '03 TL-S, you think??

It would fit the '03 TL-S. I'm doing the LED conversion on the dash so it'll be cool once I get to it.

Update: Instead of pictures, I'll just be posting DIY videos instead... normally, although pictures are useful, it'd be better to see actually how it's done... I'll edit it to a 5 min video where the entire handbrake installation is on camera. That'll be up later on tonight or tomorrow.

Other news:
Unfortunately, this stupid bolt snapped which really pissed me off. I just started too.

This is where one of the handbrake's bolts go in.

Hey, Joe, cant believe it man you doing the conversion, but check this, either get a tripod or somebody else to video tape it for you because the picture will be still and more clear and u can perform your task easier. Other than that, get some lighting too. Good start and good luck!

For some things. Most hardware stores i tried didnt have the pitch thread in most of the size bolts i needed. I got in the habit of ordering bolts with the parts i needed just to be sure. Price wasnt that much more and it was the correct grade bolt.

Sorry for the lighting guys, It was pouring outside so the sun instantly went away.. I'll have to get myself an AC/DC converter, plug it into the cig outlet and turn on a lamp in there for the next few videos. lol

So.. it's 83 degrees outside.. at 10 in the morning.. the conversion continues...

The handbrake lines are connected

The assembly mounted

And out of that entire process I came out with 5 broken metal grinding discs, one broken drill bit. It was titanium too. lol Tonight comes the clutch pedal.

I noticed that for my year (not sure if it applies to anyone else), the bolts used for the bracket assembly of the clutch pedal are the same for the hand brake pedal, I'll try to test fit them and see if it works. That way, rather than going out to buy more bolts, it'd be cheaper for you guys to just reuse the bolts on the assembly already.

Actually.. yes. lol To be honest, I really don't have much of a choice to begin with since I don't have any places I trust around here. Besides, it's nice with the weather outside. I'm pushing 72+ hrs a week with work (work study, office depot, and computer jobs on the side) and doing school full time and doing this silly conversion. Don't have the funds to have this car under a roof. haha

Joe, wait wait! if u doing this outside, where do you park the car? I mean is it still driveable ( I dont think so ), and how about if its not? How about atleast go to a storage place and park it there and rent a small room for the tools. This is of course you have a beater to drive. Good luck tho nonetheless.

I was only on the roof just for today, but usually, i'll be on the 4th floor of the garage. There's constant security watching over the car and the guys here know that I'm always here working on the car all of the time so it's alright. As for the tools, despite the compressor and various small items, it all fits in the rear and trunk of the car. Don't really have much choice when it comes to renting since I have no extra money to spend. At the moment, it's still drivable.. but after the transmission gets taken out this week/weekend, it'll be out of commission for only a few weeks. I'm just hoping i'll get it done in time for the meet

Yes you will. The manual brake pedal is much smaller (just like the clutch pedal) you wont have room for the auto brake pedal and clutch pedal

conversion is comin along good, i plan to do the handbrake part soon cuz that wont put the car out of comission.... BUT

have you driven a stick before? because every stick i have ever seen and driven has a smaller brake pedal than an auto...
