Saturday night I got pulled over for a spot check in brooklyn. I was told to pull over for my tinted windows. The officer put her little machine on my window and told me I have only 7% light going into my car ( to bad I have 5% tints ) So I got 2 summons for the front 2 windows . Should I plead guilty and pay the fine or plead not guilty and rip the tint off and take pictures for when I goto court , then re-tint the windows for $100?

 

if the ticket is cheaper than just pay the ticket. if not rip it off and pay the $100 to get it redone.

 

I got a ticket on the 25th for tints on LI. The cop put the **** up to my window and it read 15.3%. I guess my **** got darker since I keep the car garaged all day. It's 45 bucks I'll just pay it and be done.

 

pisses me off........... damn ******* cops.

 

i got a ticket for tints went to court lied to the judge and told her i took em off and they waived the charges and i still got my tints. Heh just for extra measures take pictures of an identical TL without tints and show it the judge . hopefully that will get you out.

yeah, just dont drive there with your tinted acura. Just go to the tint shop and have them give you a receipt saying that they took the tint off, and take a picture of a tl with no tints

 

but even if you pay the fine,.. can't you get a ticket again for the same thing again?

and what's the legal limit. How much tint can you have on your car? is it different in NY and NJ?
