Have you had any experience with these? I've had mine for two years now and I had to pay $150. The best $150 I've spent on my car. Everything doesn't have to cost $500 and be made in America apparently my friend.

stupid question....on xspower.com they are $130 shipped. on ssautochrome.com they are $88, with shipping $103.83.

has anyone ordered from either site? obviously i would like to save $26.17 but the $88 on ssautochrome.com sounds kinda fishy... can anyone verify integrity?

What isnt made in china??
And Oem is best why?? and making them yourself

Sorry comptech is the best, not oem or trying to make them yourself. These are knockoffs. For the price and the gains they give ill take it. Working for me with no issues for over 45k now.

Use the OEM engine block to manifold gaskets (they're metal) but the 3 "O" rings that they supply(for manifold to J pipe and J pipe to cat).

Unfortunately a lot of things are made there cause its cheaper to produce. It's business. I'm not saying the headers don't work, I'm just saying why buy cheaply made parts for your car, if you care and love your car, why not get the best? I guess since theres not that many manufacturers that make parts for TL's, we are forced to choose what ever is being made at the time. By all means do what ever you want to do, I have no problems with that. I just recently got back to the honda/acura scene, so I have to get used to not having so many choices in parts to choose from, if I came off as a dick, its because I've had some experience with the XS power stuff and I'm not to fond of there products. I'm from the Nissan community, but have had hondas/acuras in the past. All of the products I've used either didn't fit right or cracked. Maybe cause I deal with a lot of boosted cars which produce a lot of heat and pressure, but who knows. I know whats good and whats bad. But maybe for the TL's this header just might be ok to use, but I wouldn't buy one.

Thats great to hear, I'm glad you've had such great success with these headers. I haven't had any experience with these headers but have had experiences with some other XS power products and they were not to great. You don't have to pay $500 on something thats made in America, just buy something that s $1000 thats made in Japan...hahaha, j/k. Point is you get what you pay for. In your case it was well worth the $150.

Acknowledged- but like someone said for $100 who cares- there is a huge power gain from it even if it doesnt last ten years. Mine are holding up great so far minus the resonance which I have mostly fixed. I can't afford $1000 headers on a college budget.. just not practical.

Alright, so here is yet another xs header update. Just put them in yesterday. Had a few problems, 1 being i blew the battery fuse and freaked out when i had no power... Then when we got all the bolts on, we remembered we didnt put the o rings in... and worst of all we didnt use the new bolts i bought...long story.

Anyway besides all the problems and mistakes by my friend and I, the headers are in and the power gain is quite nice.
Have a little resonance which decreased today around 1.5-3.5 rpms. Have a small ping around the cat once in a while. Both are minimal and im guessing when i put the new bolts in and tighten well these problems will go away. I generously wrapped the flex pipe in header tape i found for 20 bucks at NAPA, so this may have helped decrease resonance.

The install is actually quite easy if you follow instructions, use new bolts, and dont blow a battery fuse. Most important thing is to have patience, take your time, and having all the tools necessary. I say this because we probably wouldnt have gotten the rusted bolts at the cat off if we didnt have an impact wrench. Taking off and putting on the rear manifold is not too difficult, just do what everyone else said and pretty much lay over the engine.

One question, how did you guys get your hanger to bolt in, did you use extra washers or some kind of extension?

I have been following this thread for a while now. I have been waiting for my headers I installed on my 03 TL - S to get broken in to see if I had any problems that I read about on here. I purchased a beautiful set of Megan Racing SS Headers to go with my Tanabe SUPER MEDALION HYPER SS Exhaust system. I have to say, "this is the best investment I could have made for this car. I have nothing but compliments from others ( onlookers, mechanics and such.) I had my local Meinike shop install both systems and they said they have never had such an easy and beautiful set of headers and/or exhaust they installed or seen. They were a perfect fit they said with no leaks or places hitting. I took the extra precaution of getting a tube of Permatex Gasket material and had them put it on all the header gaskets, even at the convertor. I used Megans manifold gaskets and bolts.

The performance increase has been exceptional, along with the Injen RD CAI and Unichip performance unit. I just wish they would come out with more performance products for the J32A2 engine on the TL-S. It is a beautiful car to trick out and tune. To all the TL lovers............ ............

I heard that the reason the XS Power headers are soo cheap is because they have really bad welds and will usually break after about a year, is this true?
