I don't know if you recall but I got into an accident about 5 weeks ago and today I found out that I should be getting my car back on THURSDAY!

 

Yes, I was wondering about you because you kept posting but with no status. I'm sure the next 4 days will seem like an eternity....but I'm sure you'll be soooooo ecstatic to be driving it again.

Thank you all, but let's not get too carried away here. You know the deal, if you keep thinking you will get it back it will only be delayed. I just had to post this because at least I know it is getting closer to the date. I think I will take a loooooooong drive this weekend, I have to make up for the lost time.

True. I was expecting my TL-S tomorrow, but just got a call that it will now be here Wednesday. Doesn't seem so bad, however, it was promised originally 2 week ago. I feel your anxiety!

Looks like it is going to be one more day. They lost a clip to the grill so I will have to wait till tomorrow. Oh well, at least I will have it for the weekend.

Don't let the anticipation fog your mind when it comes time to pick it up. I've never encountered a perfect job first time around. Check out the job with a fine tooth comb, and if you see any trash or pits, don't accept it. If you do you'll kick yourself in the a$$ if you ever sell it. Tell them when they call you..."Okay great... I'll be over there shortly to pick it up. I hope it looks just like it did when I picked it up from the dealer, because if not it's going to be staying." Check inside your door where the door sill plates are. Often you'll have over spray there and it's a dead give away. Good Luck. I don't mean to be a downer, just trying to help

It has been confirmed! The bodyshop manager called me this morning and told me that the car will be ready by 4:00PM and the car is better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line. I am taking his word for it because I have done some investigating and turns out that this Acura bodyshop is actually one of the best around. Anyhow, I will find out when I pick it up today, I will keep you posted! I had to drink a bottle of wine last night to fall asleep.

Where in Texas are you? I will be needing a good body shop in the near future (hail damaged hood) and would like to see if I'm close enough to this shop.

Please let us know what you think of the finished product!

 

Now go out there and drive all you want! BTW which body shop did you go to? Want to have it for reference. Do they work on other cars? I got a friend that needs some body work on his foreign car. Any infos would be appreciated. If you can please email or PM it to my account.
