Does that happen at all gas stations or just one in particular?

Nope regardless of how far, still stops. i can see the gas coming to the top of the neck as if it was full but its a constant process to let it go down and than start filling up again. took me like 10 mins to fill up this morning from empty.

not supposed to go all the way to the top!
see owner manual and threads on damage to the charcoal filter in the fuel vent system
when overfilling tank sends liquid to a vapor system--ooops

if the fuel light just came on its got about 3 gal left in tank
14 is the number to fill it from there

its not stopping at half tank right--just at full?

once fuel light comes on, it's actually about 2.5 gallons left with 2 usable gallons until it stalls. I remember seeing the thread on this.

Here's a video to help you understand how the system works.
Sounds to me like its not able to displace the air while your filling up.
The Service Manual has a way to test all this equipment, Look in the EVAP section.

no it stops right away. gas light just happen to go on this time, but happens either way at any gas station. i could start pumping and first 5 secs is fine that the pump stops and you can see gas come up but i have to wait for it to settle than pump again and stops again, etc till filled.

Try running a wire down through the fill tube.....maybe something is restricting the flow ? Is there any CEL codes for the EVAP system ?

Does it do this "stopping" always, rather or not when ya set the pump's nozzle for either auto or manual hand fill pressure at the gas pump ?

Don't put the nozzle 100% into the fill hole. Back it out ~1/2". Also, don't lock the handle on the pump into the fastest setting (usually have 3 settings). Try the middle setting.

No CEL, always stops no matter how fast, i wait for gas to settle for a sec and than start again, i've ran seafoam every fill up the past 3 times since the car was sitting for a couple months but even before than i remember it still doing it. The backing out 1/2in doesnt work, the only way i've gotten it to flow constantly is putting the pump nozzle upside down while filling up.

I haven't run into this on a honda yet, but on everything else, it's usually a vent valve, vent valve circuit, or mud or spider webs preventing venting. Other than that, any ex-wives, or girlfriends mad at you? That would be tampons in the filler neck.

Hmmm, maybe your car is just wanting a new technique during the filling procedure.
