faulty "replacement transmission"

Noticed my 99 automatic tl 96k transmission fluid leak, service dept fixed it, said it was a seal that broke. Four days later, check engine and tcs light, transmission fluid bone dry. Acura replaced transmission with a "replacement transmission" at no charge to me said it was under warranty(?). The car drives the same however the brakes seem less responsive. Should this happen?

Replacing the trans has nothing to do with the brakes.
