I dont know if a factory spoiler for my 2000 pearl white tl is worth 700 $$$$$ thats seems like alot...What i want to know is it worth it to pay all that money for a factory acura spoiler or get a aftermarket one.. And will the after market one make my car less valuable.. well thanks for the help.

I think the only difference between the two is that the factory has an ACURA logo imprinted on the bottom of the spoiler.

You can get the OEM Spoiler from http://www.autocarparts.com for $490, painted!! Or you can get the ACP wing which resembles the OEM wing for $280. Installation won't cost you that much. Buy it from Tim and support this site!!

When you ask if your car will be less valuable, what exactly do you mean? If you're talking resale value, I doubt a spoiler is going to add too much to the value of the car regardless whether or not you get the genuine Acura spoiler or the generic Acura spoiler. Same thing probably applies with the wings west and other aftermarket spoilers. Or if you're comparing the value of the genuine versus the generic, I don't think anyone's gonna look underneath the spoiler just to make sure it's a genuine Acura one.

It's really up to you. Quality is pretty similar between the Acura spoiler and the Wings West ones. IMO, I think Acura quality is slightly better but not worth the extra price.

As an additional note, the Wings West spoilers are sold unpainted so you'll need to go to a good shop to paint it for you. A good paint job will look 99.5% as good as a factory painted Acura spoiler.

Question is, can they match the paint. My yellow S200 had a pearl in it that was almost near impossible to match. My White TLs also has a similar white, I wonder how hard it will be!

I would say go with the factory...I have the imitation from acp.com and its nice, but I wish I bought it now...Its uneven one side, the body shop that installed it coulnt get the right side to go down like the left side...Again not noticeable, but you can fit a finger on the right side but on the left you cant...Ive noticed it on a few others too...ahem...Nate...Also, if you do buy it which its totally up to you, it comes painted very nicely and does look great on the car...Just make sure you paint the screws that hold the spoiler light with a rust fighting paint, because they will rust, I know mine did and I just repainted them...Shyne

He said Canadian, so that's like $550 or so, right?

I bought my spoiler for $250 painted and shipped.I installed it myself.
To me there is no difference between acura or aftermarket, and if there is its not worth $350.

What you are referring to are the torsion bars. No, there aren't new torsion bars, you simply adjust the bars to the second setting, which keeps the trunk lid from slamming down on your head.

Check out this post for how to adjust the bars. http://www.acura-tl.com/tltorsion.htm

It's the section circled in red.
