Smile extended warranty- HELP

i want to get the extended waranty because i dont want my tranny to go on me. my vehicle has 120,000 miles

i called the dealer they gave me a quote for $1900 - powertrain plus- engine, trasmission, brakes, electrical , front suspension. i dont think this one is through acura

or Wynns extended vehicle coverage - bumber to bumber coverage $1400. Can you guys make suggestions pros and cons also say which one will you go with.

did you tell them the current mileage cause i don't think most will cover past that mileage very much, and MAKE SURE it does indeed include the tranny if it goes bad

btw: a tranny is only like 3,000-3,200 or so at an independent shop with a remanufactured honda tranny

Yeah, give a call to the ones on TV as well....US FIDELIS, Stoprepairbills, etc....
My dad called one of the extended warranty places for a quote and they told him that once they quote him, he must either accept or decline or they will not write him a policy in the future.

uhhh... pressuring sale tactics make it sound real comforting

also a like 2-3 weeks ago their was a thread about one of the tv ones (stoprepairbills i think ) and they were basically a scam

go ask the service MANAGER who has the best policies- who do they like doing business with?

anything the car sales dept told you added $500 commission on top of the regular price,,,call it a christmas bonus for themself- but they do it all year round
Prices are negotiable

do you think i can get an accura warranty? This will help if the trans fail. For all those who have warranties post you experience in claiming.

DO NOT get any thing off a t.v commercial. They are a rip off. I work in a repair shop and we won't take there contracts. Get one through the dealer. Call around to several dealers and you'll find a couple different prices. G.E. capital has been the best to work with. Hope this helps.
