Exhaust Help

I'm trying to take off my exhaust as we speak.

I got the damn rusted bolts off... now how do I get those rubber things off the hangers?

Do I got to just use shear force and stretch the rubber thing?

Please help me. THanks

I knew I need some kinda lube, but I didn't have any at the moment so I just used a flat head and pryed it out.

Thanks for all your help.

But now I got another question, I just installed my exhaust, and the right side sits obviously lower than the left. I read that its a typical problem, and all I have to do is bring it to a muffler shop to straighten it out. But my question is after driving around, the exhaust smells.... well kinda fishy. Is it just the stuff in the exhaust burning off?

Oh yes, I love my car 20x more now

If its a new exhaust yes, it may smell a little as any oils and the packing get burnt in

Yes, their brand new

How do I know if my exhaust is leaking though? I didn't notice any exhaust smoking coming out from where the bolts where the axel backs bolt on. If there was a leak, is that were I would see smoking coming out of?

Sorry, for all the noob questions, this is my very first mod I have ever done by myself.

i dont think that you would see any smoke. more or less hear it or smell it badly inside the car.

If you had a leak you may hear it. Start the car and (before it gets too hot) get under and feel around the mounting plates for air being pushed out.
