Ticking noise from sensor on firewall

Ticking noise from sensor on firewall

Ever time it gets cold in my city my 02 tl begins to tick its a sensor on the firewall but not that it is warm out it still is can anyone tell me what this is or just take it to the dealer.

Thats teh Purge control solenoid. The are known to be a bit noisy on our cars. Nothing is wrong and its not hurting any thing to be that way. You can get a new one and replace it yourself if you want. its not that hard

ohhhhhh that tick...yea its nothing....it goes away really when the car is idled/driving for like id say...20 min....for me atleast it does..

sometimes i hear it if im on the hwy with windows down and near a curb/guard rails......but yea no biggie..

is that the little clicking sound i hear kinda sounds like its coming from the back passengers side of the center cosole.

i replaced mine to no avail, still have the sound, don't waste your money, i gave up, its normal, don't worry about it.

It's actually on the driver's side by the shock tower.

You'll notice it goes away when you give gas.Totally normal.You hear the same noise coming from under the car in front of the rear driver side wheel.

You sure that was doing the ticking? We have 2 things that tick on our cars. the other is the evap canister under the car by the rear drivers side wheel.

oh, well, thats where i heard the sound from, but never heard the evap canister thing. eh, to me, i could give a damn at this point, she runs fine, no warning lights, everything has been replaced, so she is being driven till she drops dead. i am not replacing anything else

it sounds like im trying to roll up one of my windows when there all rolled up. kind of a electrical motor trying to spin but it cant.
