Ever notice the label on the side windows?!!!
Okay, I know that most of you know that our side windows have the Honda label instead of Acura. Here is what sort of pissed me off...
Some say that the IS300 is just a riced out Corolla, and some say that our TL is just another Accord. Which does have some truth into it and I am fine with that.
However, there's a new IS300 parked right beside my TL in my condo's underground garage. I just noticed that it says Lexus on the window.
So, what's the big deal if the Acura/Lexus brand name is just another marketing thing. Well, then I hope Honda can do it better. How hard is it to have all the parts label as Acura instead of Honda. At least complete what you are trying to do, which is selling Honda as Acura...

But when they go buy parts at the dealer......they say Toyota as does ours say Honda.....
So is there really a difference....I mean some people put the Inspire badging and lights on their car. It looks like they know what we're doing and are just helping us.....

I think a lot of the branding is done at the Honda Motors level rather than...Honda Automotive and Acura Automotive. What i mean is that most of the products are made for Honda Motor Company. I could be wrong though.

Alls I gotta say is I'd rather have an Accord over the Corolla anyday. Accord competes with the Camry. And the civic competes witht he Corolla, think about that...

People have pointed out to me that my car says Honda on the windows. hehe.
I've seen Lexuses (Lexi) with "Toyota" on the windows too, so it's not just an Acura/Honda identity crisis.

I look on our sunroof wind defletor and it says Acura...WOW. I would say that 90% of our cars have honda parts or were copied from them. The wind deflector is part of that 10%.

I am not saying that if our window says Acura will make the TL a better car. I am just looking at a marketing point of view.
They first started the Lexus/Acura/Infiniti thing because they want to create a new brand name for their higher-end models. If you want to create a higher-class image then perhaps they can do it better by replace all da Toyota, Honda, Nissan label to Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti. I mean finish what you are trying to do. Don't miss those details, and at least on the IS300 I see a improvmoent soft of speak?...

Our car is 100% Honda parts.
There's no Acura Motor Company, only Acura Division of American Honda Motor Company. Acura doesn't have any manufacturing plants.
No big deal. I thought this was common knowledge.

Look all the way on the back inside where the deflector meet the roof in the midle. It is welded in.

I must agree with regard to the Honda label on the window. One of the reasons that Acura is getting rid of names for their cars (Legend, Integra, Vigor etc..) and going with RL, TL, RS-X is that they want people to say "Acura" (TL, RL, RS-X). Why can't they make windows with an Acura label?? Not a huge deal either way but if they are going to be picky....
