no, im talking about the sunshade for the rear window. the one in the back, not the back seat door windows or the sunroof. have you guys seen the i30 with a eletronically rear controlled mesh sunshield? ok...i guess not. maybe i'll see if i can buy it from an infiniti dealer.

You will have to get rid of the ND Woofer if you have one. I don't think there is anyway that the infiniti motorized screen will fit with the sub back there. You will have to either find a rear deck from an older TL tha will fit? or Make the infiniti rear deck fit, either way, I bet it will be a major PITA. Actually the best scenario is probably to look at the Inspire one, and see if the Infiniti one can some how fit into that deck or setup.

Actually, a power one does exist for around $70, although it's not specifically made for the TL... it should fit nicely. Check out this topic from the CL board and look for a post from Zapata about 3 or 4 down...

That automatic sunshade on the CL board looks like it's got the two arms permanently bent even when the shade is up. It's going to end up blocking your rear view. I dunno... although it's powered, those arms look pretty annoying.
And it's battery powered! It runs off of 3 9V batteries. What's the big idea here?

How is it attached, from the image it looks like the base is mounted to the sides and top hooks to hold it up. I believe its from Value Car Audio at http://value-caraudio.com/Merchant2/...y_Code=INPARTS and I have seen another at http://www.autoshades.com/products/complete.html - Installed on the back window deck using an internal tension-based mechanism. Extends upwards to 22" to hooks mounted at the top corners of the window.

Daverman;
I notice your picture doesn't match the picture of the sunshade on Value's website. Your picture looks closer to the pictures
on Solar e-Clips.

If this is true we could save some buck$. What's your opinion?

I'm glad I don't have to worry about that. I have limo-black tint and all my passengers never complain about the sun coming through and frying them alive.

I have this and it is as good or better than adding another potential squeaky thing on the rear window...

Also, be careful when ordering 3rd-party sunshades: the roller bar has to clear the subwoofer assembly.

Imagine being able to arm your car alarm and completely blak out ALL of the windows! :wow: Or at night, clear them out so you can see better on your way to the hang out, then dim them down while cruising the strip!

They not only check emissions they check lights, windows, brakes tires, tags not fixed to vehicle ect. So for example if you have a window that won't roll down you fail inspection. They also look for tint on the windows. They have a punch card with all the info of the vehicle & there is a box for tint. I got 51% all around & will have to take off my sides in a few days to pass. I have had my car for 2ys & its my month to go thru inspection.
