Dynoed blown TLS

I went this afternoon to Corvette Masters to have my car dynoed. This was the first time that it has been dynoed. They have a 'Dyno jet' with air/fuel mapping. The car pulled a 265 hp at the wheels and 228 torque. Which means that there is 320 hp at the crank. I'm glad I picked a shop with air/fuel results because I learned that the car is running very rich. That is both good and bad. It is somewhat good for charged cars because if your running lean it is leathal to the engine. The bad is that it costs more to run and the ecu will not allow us to change the air/fuel ratios. Because of it I'm out about 15 hp increase(maybe).

The better fix for this, which is in the works, is an intercooler with more boost maybe 8lbs. This could possibly net us 380-425hp
I'll keep you guys posted.

you can change the a/f ratios.

get the "apex'i v-afc (look at my sig) I bet after you get it installed and tuned by a pro you will have gains of 15-25whp at least!

if you want more info PM me.

SCTL-SS, 380-425hp sounds nice! I'm going to the track in January and I'll be sure to post some time slips. Some guys are installing custom aftercoolers and piggyback computers on their CL-S's, pretty much the same car. I think it's called
e-manage. Have fun!
And congrats on the transmission upgrade & LSD .

I look forward to seeing your times. I hope all goes well.

I'd be interested in the Apexi v-afc you are referring to. Is this a unit that you have on your car? If so, how has it worked for you?
Thanks for the info.

The V-AFC is the device which mounts in the place of the sunglass holder. Most people that have as many mods as you, don't really worry to lose the ability to keep their sunglasses. Keep in mind that the V-AFC if used often will make your gas mileage go down the tubes. As well, you should have a lot of mods if you're using this. a V-AFC on a stock car is totally a waste of money.

Alright mods, don't get all up in arms as this guy needs serious advice...

Here SC--this is what you need and the people to talk to:

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...&pagenumber=14

Answer to your a/f problems, aftercooler, custom pulley, etc...

But honestly, those are really good numbers expecially in Florida, and right in line with many s/c CL-S dynos I've seen...

Who said you had to mount it in the place of your sunglass holder. Some people just choice to do that. You can mount it anywhere, it up to your imagination.
