Dropped IT!!! Finally with H&R

well i got my car back from the shop yesterday, i put in H&R sport springs phase II. The drop is sooo even its SICK. it make the car look so much better than the 4X4 tl. i just have the springs in it now. i like the look without the body kit. i dont? The ride is a little bit stiffer when i go over bumps in the road, but it is definitely worth it. the handling in turns has improved 200% no more body roll, great. i like the look the best. its an even lowering that sits right above the wheels. I need the forum to enlight me about sway bars? what will they do and is it worth it??? let me know

its been dropped 1.75 all around. looks perfect, all i wanted to do was take the 4X4 look out. and thats what has been done. it looks lowered but its not slammed if you know what i mean.

sways...

...stiffen the ride even more by providing torsion during turns, so the car has even less bodyroll than w/just the springs installed. it is supposed to get better than you have it now..! i have also installed h&r sport springs and love the way the car handles. on the other hand, austin519 installed sways and says that it handles the same as my car, which we shall see next weekend at an autox event. i will probably decide whether or not to get the sways after test driving his car.

Actually H&R Sports drop the front an advertised 1.75 inches and the rear 1.5 inches. Our car stock seems to have a higher wheel gap up front like most Hondas/Acuras.

Comptech does the same, but goes for more of a raked look.

CL2TLS,
Congrats on the drop. I just came back from a shop in my area (Ultima Performance) and got a price for the H&R springs and Comptech Sways. Im hoping to get this work done by the end of April....funds permitting But I'm still deciding whether or not to buy a new set of rims to go along with the drop or keep the stock rollers for now and just go ahead with the drop

Mr Hyde,
With the Comptech springs, what did you mean by the "raked look"???

OH ya! Performance wise, I like the impact of the sways more than the springs. You won't get any ride penalty with the sways as you did with springs.

CL2TLS,
I forgot to ask before if you had the bodykit ?? I wanted to know if there was still a lot of ground clearance with the drop and the OEM kit ??

CL2TLS:
Well I dunno man...my H&R Sports are as hard as rocks...it feels like I replaced my shocks with steel beams. Yes, this is after riding in other cars with springs...even systeks. Nothing like mine...I have no idea why. I can also say that the springs didn't improve the handling half as much as the sways...the only very noticeable handling difference post sways is there is no dip or rock back in the car when stopping or starting respectively. Keep in mind there's a zero ride penalty on the sway bars too. I'm gonna go run my sensitive butt over to some adjustable coilovers ASAP...the softest I can find. Dayam...

How low will my car drops if i was to use coilovers? Will it gives me that same or near stock luxury, comfy ride? Also, what kind of coilover should i get? Thanks in advance.
