Question Drop

What are the best brand of springs?
I am planning to get some 19 X 8 Lowenharts with the H&R springs.

Any suggestions? tips, etc....

H&R and Comptech are the most popular. Comptech ride the closest to stock while giving a decent drop (1.5"/1"). H&R has different sets which lower you a different amount. I have the Sports which are equivilent to the Comptech's. The ride is a little rougher then stock with my 18" and the springs... but it handles much better.....

Personally I think Eibach are the best springs.

eibach?? that's interesting, everyone I have talked to doesn't like the eibach's, at least the pro-kit, i am not sure about the sportlines. my vote goes straight to H&R sports..i have them, and love them, definitely the best money i have spent on my TLS.

Teins. Adjustable ride height and damper setting for comfort to sport. Comes with the spring and shock.

Everyones gonna have a diff opinion.. You have to make up your own mind.. How much you have to spend, whats the easiest to install, how much you want your car dropped, if you want your ride rougher or closer to stock, and etc.. Ask yourself all these questions than people will guide you to the right springs.

Agreed. If you can afford the extra coin... go for the Coilovers. I will be going this route down the road..... my H&R's are temporary . I still like H&R or Comptech for the springs... but coilovers are definitely hot.

what do you want? If you want the BEST...then you arenn't going to beat a coilover like the Teins peiqinglong has. When you add an aftermarket spring to your current shcosk or even an after market shock, you aren't getting a compbo that is designed to work together. At least getting an adjsutable damnpening aftermarket shock will help you dial in setting that work well for you. A coilover is a system that has a shock and spring that are very well matched. You will tend to get the best perforamcne without losing as much ride comfort form a acoilover than a fixed hegith setup. If you have the cash, look into a coilover. Adjustable height is nice for looks, adjustable dampening for comfort adn performance.
