Does anyone know how to fix a dented vinyl door panel? I got a half an inch long dent on the interior door panel where the door meets the dash. My wife shut the door without making sure the sun screen's suckion cup being in the way. Voila! A kinda deep dent on the door panel. Although, I can't see it when the door is shut, it's an eye sore to me The surface isn't cracked, only dented. Please help, I try to restore the beauty of my TL.

 

I need some help here.

 

If you can post a pic it might be more helpful.
Is it the door panel? Try taking off the door panel and using a heat gun (be very careful). It'll soften up the plastic so you can pop out the dent or mold it back.

 

Thanks, it's the upper part of the panel. It's softer comparing to the lower part. Too bad I don't have a digi-cam, it's not so deep, but I might try that, thanks.

 

You could take the door panel off, remove the top section, it's screwed into the panel and pop the dent out from the back.

 

So the whole door panel is not just one piece like old design? Also, I thought vinyl with be like packing form material, once it dented, you can only patch it on the outside, not fix it from the inside?
