Alrite guys i just removed my door panel because of rattles and was wondering what the white plastic film does and is it really necessary? if not could i just remove it, i think thats whats causing the rattles. any help would be appreciated much thanks

 

leave it their, its so when water get between the window and the window seal on the bottom part of the window, the water wont go towards the door panel and damage the electronics and go inside the car, but will go down the white sheet and exit through a hole and drain out.
