Does anyone use the pulley kit from AEM?

Wassup, I seen the AEM pulley kit that comes with the crank and alternator pulley and was wondering if any TL owner put those on their cars? My brother had them on his 98 accord v6 and his alternator went out and had to replace it, so he ended up using the crank pulley and removing the alternator one. THe AEM pulley kit is around $220 only with both pulleys. Has anyone have problems with their alternators when putting the alternator pully on???
THANKs....

i've heard that the AEM pullies wont give you much gain (if any) at all. I think most members have gone to UR for their pullies and have had proven gains.

AEM doesn't offer a crank pulley. AEM's pulley system is crap, all show and virtually no go.

It's the alternator and power steering pulley.

If you're looking for performance gains, the only pulley that provides any noticeable gain is the crank pulley. Excellerate is running a groupbuy on the forum.

The AEM pullies arent "crap", but they arent made for more HP...mainly just show.

I just ordered a UR pulley a couple of days ago from Excellerate. Everyone on here can't be wrong. I can't wait. $159 delivered for Blue.

The UR crank pulley is definately the way to go. You will notice a great improvement in throttle response and in the overall pickup of the car.. oh and you get a little more to enjoy in the top end!

Do a search on the AV6 forum for all the Accord owners who have them and have had alternator failure.

well cant say I look at that forum, so I stand corrected if that is true...kinda scary because people bolt the UR crank pulley up to their ENGINE! I know the debate has gone on forever, but it would be my engine to F up from the pulley if it was possible.
