do new headlight casings improve visibility?

I just recently got two new headlight casings, and is it just me or does the new plastic really make the clarity much better? I swear that now the plastic is not as hazy, that my headlights (6000k) are much more intense! It's like I used one of those headlight polisher kits!

yeah the clearer the lense is, the more light will pass. haze and pitting will obviously block light from passing cleanly. enjoy them. i miss the glass casing from my accord back in the day. nothing beat those up.

yes! of course. the hazier it is, the less light that passes through the lens. But to improve visibility, DO THAT RETRO!!! haha

hahaha...yeah man...they are awesome...I wish we had glass casings...just surprised that such a minor difference made a huge improvement!!

taliza...hahaha...you don't know how bad I wanted to start that last night looking at my SC projectors...but they really are old and hazy...I almost wanna do it just to have them..but gotta wonder how bad the quality will be with old projectors...

taliza, yes i have the sc one s right now. They look old and hazy. I have one TSX projector laying around and comparing the two, the tsx one looks clear, whereas the sc ones look like the are foggy throughout the lens itself...

jmal...yeah...I am tempted to go ahead and just start the process...i've been dying for the clarity! Especially after seeing how much of an improvment a clear housing is!!! It's a shame there's nowhere we can go to to have the outer case remade in glass...my buddy has a red 95 supra with the 98 glass headlights...and 5 years later, they still are pristine except for some bugstains...

you know you can just take the lens off the tsx and put it onto the SC and it'll be just like the S2000?? The SC projectors are similar to the S2k projectors. Just put the TSX lens on and it's NICE!

that was my initial project, but I haven't come across anyone willing to sell just one...this poor lens has been sitting on my desk for about a year now collecting dust....but to have my SC look like an s2k with the lights...that is gonna be awesome!!!! I'm hoping that once I do the one for the TL, I'll grow the balls to just do it on the SC as well...ideally they are both going to have the same output...here's hopin! Man I wish you were out on my coast...I'd totally take you out for dinner or drinks or something and pick your brain...

haha, well, if you go on HIDPLANET, they have people who might just have one sitting around. You'll find it with patience man. That SC/TSX clear lens setup is a cheap version of the S2K. There's a member here that's doing a quad retro on our tls. His name is JNC.

yeah, that's what I thought...they looked like they would get in the way...for he SC I am gonna go with your suggestion and look for another TSX projector...but for the TL...I'm thinking of going with the S2k...it'll be nice to have one of each and see how they work out...what car did that headlight come from? integra? (btw..looks like we both have jobs that let us take advantage of these forums...huh? =)
