DEL sol VS me!!

So after work i got a little bored and decided i'd go cruise around and look for a race. So i'm around redmond town center (washington) and i see this small car with one of those "bomb" mufflers and altezzas. So i pull up next to them and glance over and make eye contact, so i pull up a little ahead and turn on my neon lights....so they i pull into the mall and i noticed that they're following me, then they turn out so i take the next turn. Soon i'm back where i started and noticed they're at a stop sign and they start to follow me again.

I turned onto the freeway at 60 mph and they follow, so since i'm such a good sport i slow down for them. As we're side by side i slam the gas redlining it and vtec hits (i think..) when shifting to 3rd...i look in my rear view and noticed a small set of headlights about 500 ft back....so i shift to 4th not noticing that i'm going 100 mph and barely able to see the car...so then i thought..this is a waste of gas and exited and when home.

That del Sol might have been a waist of time but if you had run into a del Sol VTEC with the same mods, it would have been a good race. The fastest non-blown del Sol we eve had could pull a t 13 second quarter. The standard turbo'ed del Sol pulled 12's. As a TL driver with a stock TL, I dont drive around thinking I dominate the world, it really does not take much to modify a Honda DOHC to beat a TLs. I pulled 15.7's in my stock del Sol VTEC.

haha i've seen how u drive, and i'm not sure that i can keep up with all your crazy stunts...haha.

I know there are cars out there that can beat a tl, but i've only raced one car that beat me so far and that was an s2000, so i pick my races wisely now.

So, BONE stock, your Del Sol hit 15.7? You must be a pretty good driver

15.7-15.8 was about where most stock DOCH VTEC drivers hit on a constant bases. I think it was Motor Week that published stock times of 15.2 but that was a good reach. The only Honda that was faster then the del Sol VTEC in the period of 94-98ish was the NSX and 3rd generation Prelude 94th was slower 0-60 and .1 faster in quarter).

You're thinking of 4th gen Prelude, made from 92-96. A 93-96 VTEC Pre' would kill a Del sol . I'm sorry, but I just don't see a stock Del sol hitting 15.2 in the QM. I'm not trying to be disrespectful about that, I just find it a bit far fetched.

Haven't lost to any Del Sol's yet. Lost to some cars when my TL was stock, but after all the mods are put on, haven't lost yet.
