Dash lights on

whats up everyone this just happened I turned the car on and the TCS and ABS light stays on anybody know the reason for this

Could be any number of reasons. Id get the codes read. Other wise all we would be doing is guessing.

You can jump ports 8 and 13 in the OBD II with a paper clip or a wire to read codes. Turn the car to "ON" and the ABS light will flash. Make sure not to start the car, just turn it to the "ON" position. The amount of flashes signals the what the code is.

thanks appreciate it the last time the TCS light stayed on was when i had the the wheel bearings done the mechanic said if i got it right the sensor wire for the TCS got damage and they replaced it and everything was good after which the shop paid for which was over 6 years ago

Curious3GTL thanks but my plug was under the steering wheel panel and not under the radio but took a few minutes to find it thanks again and the flashes were

TCS 31 and 34 cant find the codes
ABS
61 - ignition voltage
11 - wheel senor (open/short to body ground/short to power) FR
are the senors hard to change thanks

front wheel sensors are pretty easy, ck out the DIY
lets us know how much they cost these days,,iirc under 50?

I had the same issue with my 99 and I jumped the wire in the obd connector also and that worked for me to get rid of the lights

I checked the DIY and couldn't find it anybody has the link or info for the wheel senor

did you try a youtube search for eric the car guy- he seems to have one for everything!

Make sure the wires for your wheel sensors are not twisted.

Disregard the TCS codes focus on 11, for 61 check both ABS and TCS fuses.
Had any work done around that area ? check the connector (orange one on the shock tower by the cruise control unit) for corrosion broken wire, if nothing replace the sensor.

i got the bolt out of the sensor but couldn't get the senor out

Cool I though it might have been something speical I was able to move it back and forth a little but couldnt pull it out
