saw um too... You would have to weld new tips on those bad boys and custom pipeing all the way down. Buy the time you are done paying for everything you could have just baught the APEXi WS for our car for the same price. That's just what i think though...

im pretty sure any competent company can re-produce that logo. it's just weird that they are offering these, especially at such a low price.

Even if they are ripoffs, they look pretty nice.

If i didn't just get my CT axelback installed, I def. would've given these a try.

Sure, that would be no problem for an exhaust shop. You'd just have to buy the tips. Oh, make sure it's a GOOD exhaust shop because there will be a few extra welds and hangars that need to be made--it can get sloppy really fast if the person installing them isn't too experienced. It's much easier if the tips are already installed, but at the price those went for, it's worth a shot!

They are real Comptechs. Go to http://www.comptechusa.com and click on the auction button at the bottom right. It'll take you to their Ebay auctions.

so if you just add another tip, would these sound the same as the Axle back setup? and how much should good installation run for these and whatever else is necessary to fit on stock piping. thanks!

Maybe, maybe not. They would probably sound similar but it really depends on the internal design of the muffler. They should sound pretty close.

As far as installation and material is concerned, you shouldn't really need any extra piping..perahaps a foot or so and the installation price will probably be around $100-$150 at an exhaust shop. It's really not all that much work, it's basically:

1. Cut off your old mufflers
2. Weld Tips onto new mufflers
3. Weld Mufflers onto stock pipe and make new hangars for mufflers.

Again, the trick is to line up the tips so that they are exactly even and keeping the install clean. You don't want it to look really chopped up and sloppy on a classy car like the CL.

i think an average garage can do a muffler swap if they fit directly with the stock pipe

but getting the tips might be more expensive than the mufflers~
