Custom CD's on Radio

I need help. I was wondering if there is any way that I can get my radio to play custom cd's off my computer? I have a 1999 TL.

It has to be a upper brand CD, meaning, not a piece of shit $2.99 clearence cd-r. These still don't play all the time on my car, but play more consistently then a cheaper brand CD-r.

I tried searching for it, what should I type in the search bar? Also, what kind of discs are you talking about MegaKillTron? Are you talking about a specific brand or something? Please let me know. Thanks.

Do a search for "CD-R" and you'll get a ton of hits.

Here's one example:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122478

Basically it's a hit or miss proposition with the CD players used in the 1999 TLs.

Store bought cd problem also

Newbie here so don't start flaming me for not searching through posts but the cd player in my wife's 2000TL NEVER has been able to play cd's that are burned by my computer and it even occasionally has problems with store-bought shrink-wrapped cd albums. Is the cd player in this vintage Acura just hyper-sensitive?

Thanks,

Doug

It could be from dirt in the car maybe. If you bought it from the dealer and still have warranty, bring it back and make sure it plays or get a new deck. hope this help. It might even be your burner. my suggest like up there is sony with windows media player. =)

Well yes the Cd player in our cars are a bit picky about what kind of Cd's it plays. I personally use Taiyo Yuden's, which are pretty good or you can try the Sony's or like Hp's too. Taiyo Yudens as compared to like the TDK's or like other brands like Ritek has been really good. Also I might suggest burning at a slower speed then the max.

I thought I read somewhere that the support bracket is different between the stock 1999 CD radio and the CD changer used in the 2002-2003 TLs. Have you confirmed that yet?
