Crossing my fingers (misfire)
So i bought my Tl not to long ago and started getting the random misfire plus 3 different cylinders, anyway after going thru the threads on this forum i got a lot of good info. Found 1 bad coil and replaced it checked the plugs they were all good, still got the random misfire and 3 different cylinders, did the coil test again and found one that made a change when pulled but wasn't very noticeable so we decided maybe an injector. Long story short pulled the fuel rail and had two broken injectors; replaced them and no more CEL as of yet car is running smoother than it has since i had it.

me to like i said fingers crossed, before when i did anything i would get the light back on rather quickly, but even after a spirited drive yesterday it is still off, now i just need to do the rotors and pads and a few other minor things

Nice work. Which model TL do you have? Welcome to the board.

this is really odd to have more than one reported failure of the injectors in the last week or so..not a prob we normally hear about
any idea what caused the failure- ir what the exact failure mode was?
wonder if past owner used 87 gas?
or never ran a fuel cleaner while buying off brand gas?

thanks, its an 01 Tl that i picked up cheap, mainly because the mechanic they were taking it to apparently never came to the Zine, and he was telling them all this expensive stuff to do to it and that they would have to take it to the dealer to get them done. 130k on the original tranny with the oil jet kit installed i am trying to baby that as much as possible right now

the thread with pic posting instructions is at top of main thread list
use a free pic hosting site, after posting there it will give you options of how to share
select the one - 'to display in forum thread' copy the link and paste to your thread posting
that will give a properly sized pic for here and will display automatically

use seafoam at 2 ounces per gallon of fuel ,,thats 1 can to just under half a tank
do that twice and the entire system has been fully cleaned,,
far better than just vac port method!!
gets all the same stuff, plus all the fuel system,,injectors, fuel rail,,all have very small openings that can clog.
Good cleaner used at max allowable dose is the way to get them back to like new operating condition
##except you still need the TB air plate cleaning,, done manually..always a seperate job

Im old, Im lazy, and I dont trust links to anything!!
you want me to look at your pic of car or pic of problem on car, post it!
Welcome to the forum, ck out the noob threads for lots of info
Your car looks great!! I was expecting it to be dull and beat to ,,a pulp...for 2 grand!
a few mechanical fixes and some new fluids will assure its road and tripworthy
I can only see the dash when I drive~
who cares about bumper covers etc.
ck youtube vids of `dry ice` to remove hail dents, a heat gun/hair dryer to heat the metal then apply dry ice in a rubbing motion, the temp shock will pop out many small and medium parking lot dings and other dents,,certainly worth a try, 1 pound @$2 is plenty
If not at your grocery stores, get a can of computor keyboard `air duster`
turn can upside down for an icy blast to the metal. 1 can ~5$
