Correct Turn Signal Bulbs

I pulled out the rear turn signal bulb to see if they'd be easy to swap, and found the bulb is different from the normal 1156. Weird angle between the tabs on the bulb. Anyone know exactly what type it is, or who makes a super bright for that bulb? Or is a modified bulb what we have to use?

I think what you are referring to are the APC Titanium Bulbs.

You can check your local Pepboys/Autozone/Autobarn in the ricer aisle to see if you can find your size your looking for. Another option is to order it from here:

APC Titanium

Now as far as the tabs are concerned, what you wanna do is buy those APC bubls are whatever, and then with a nail cutter, just snip one of those tabs off. Then put your one tabbed bubls in the socket, it should fit and work no problem. That is how many peopel did it for years now and mine are running great for almost a year now. Hope that helps.

I remember that tip (clipping the tab) from another thread and I tried it, and the damn bulb came out of the plug and fell into the tail light. I was fishing it out for bout 10 minutes. LOLOLOL

Thats why I am asking about the true bulb for it. But hey thanks for the info anyway.

I actually modified the socket with a dremel to add some space to accomodate the APC bulbs. Now either bulb fits and it gets rid of the amber in the rear.
