1997 3.2 TL cooling fan stays on for 20 minutes after a 10 mile ride. Dealer says this is normal. Now it is running my battery down it is staying on so long. anyone have this problem?

 

Well, I'm not sure if you have the same kind of setup as I have in my 2000 3.2, but the reservoir for the coolant has a hose inside of it...mine fell off a couple weeks ago and I had the EXACT same problem you are having now....the coolant was never circulating. Maybe check that out if yours is similar.

 

On my 97 2.5TL the fans stay on for a while also after the car is off. I also read that if your lights are dimming you should replace the original battery

 

on the 97 tl, it's normal for cooling fan to stay on for a while. the problem may be your old battery rather than the cooling fan. if you have never replaced your battery, it's about time to get a new one.

 

I never really paid attention to it but I think mine stays on for a minute or so.
