Just out of curiosity, what coolant would you guys recommend for the TLs? I don't know anything about cars, and any advice i get from you guys has been nonthing but great! Your input would be greatly appreciated...

i just put coolant in my TL last week...it was a lil below the MIN line...i went to Advanced Auto Parts to see if they had the Honda coolant (which is recommended in my manual), but the guy behind the counter said it didn't make much difference and they all worked the same. he said next to the Prestone coolant was their brand (Advanced Auto Parts) and it was basically Prestone with a different label on it. Cost like $3 or $4 less than the actual Prestone brand, so i went with that and it's worked great since.
i have a 2004 TL by the way...

Some prefer the Honda 50/50 premix
Other make their own 50/50 with fave brand and distilled or otherwise super-cleaned water
There is a drain plug under the radiator and an engine block drain bolt at rear of engine near the exhaust downpipe and cv
Holds 1.7 gallons when drained properly

i used honda coolent because they dont have like silicon stuff in it or something. honda 50/50 is already premix wit distill water and it only cost like what 15 bucks and you only change it like every 60,000 miles so 15 aint much for every 60,000 miles.

you can use regular coolant from wallmart or any auto parts.
Just make sure don't get the coolant GM car use. (they're different)
50/50 mix with water.
But if you coolant level little low , you alwasy can top it off with regular water.

Maybe I've been brainwashed but I would go for the Honda coolant. I've seen it cheaper to buy at a Honda dealer than the Acura dealer ...

I would only use the honda coolant. Why mix and match. Head down to the honda dealer and get a bottle of premixed coolant. Its not that much more than the cheap stuff in the stores
