Personally I would just get the coilover...

My M3 firend told me that Koni sucks... But I heard lots good things about them on the magazines as well. So, I can't say for sure. With coilover, you can adjust the amount of drop on you car. On the other hand I don't think there's any damping (hard/soft) adjustable coilover that will fit the TL.

With the Koni, you can adjust the stiffness of the shock. (hard/soft) But the drop is fixed by the springs.

I'm installing springs this week. My Acura Dealer did a springs (Comptech) only install a few weeks ago and told me that the ride was amazing. If you search through other posts on this site, you'll find more information detailing shock replacement with springs. Sounds like the stock shocks just may wear out more quickly after you install lower springs.

PLEASE tell me you didn't just say that Koni sucks..... You're kidding right?
Koni's are one of the best on the market, dude.. I have them on my Miata and Love 'em! The ride is quite stiff though..I did do a number of suspension mods besides the koni's, which is why it's the way it is....

after getting the springs and shocks how much are you looking at? i think it would be approaching the price of the coilovers, so just get those.

Well, that what my friend told me... But that guy go money to blow thought... He drives an M3, and got all da mods you can think of except the supercharger, which he is getting soon. I would say that he really abuse his suspension is a way. But I think it was his bro who got Koni and didn't like it...

Well, I personally did hear lots good things about koni... but the price that you are paying for the spring and koni shocks. You might as well get the coil-over...
