Chrome trim and grill

I have off this summer and some spair time. I been thinking of some cheap odds and ends I can do to the car. I remember seeing a pic somewhere where a member painted or covered the chrome trim on their car. Anyone have it? I was thinking of getting some black vynil and covering the trim up. I was also thinking of doing the same to the front grill. I could either use a matte black or a gloss black. My cars NBP btw. What do you all think?

I painted the front grill a matte black. This picture just shows the outer trim of the grill but I also painted the wings and left the chrome Acura emblem.

I blacked out the trim on my CL with trimbrite T9005 tape from Amazon.com. 2 rolls. Looks 10x better IMO.

Luckily for us coupers, the 03's had color matched grills and handles.

The grille is just a 2003 CL grille. OEM bolt-on part...I guess they didn't make the TL's grilles color-matched...

^^ Any auto body paint/supply store should be able to make you some. They have samples of many manufacturer's paint and they should be able to match it. Just give them the paint code on your driver's door jamb and they make you a quart. There are some places that can put it into a spray can for you.

A quart would be over kill. A pint or less would do that and then some. If they dont put it into spray cans ask for them to reduce it for you as well and pick one of these up from home depot (or im sure they can be found in hardware stores and even some paint stores carry them)

Then pick up a spray can of clear anywhere and spray the clear on top.
