Check out this CAI

Just saw this on ebay will it fit a 99 or will it need mods??? What do you guys think should i buy?

It will fit, You need to reposition the security horn and reroute the coolant hose so it bypasses the stock air box. Just buy it and we'll run you thru the install process when you get it.

that a cool CAI...now, is there any way to make this CAI fit a '99?

since i can't save up those extra $50 for the V2 i found this AEM about $30 cheaper than anywere i've looked.

Yes V.1 AEM CAI will fit a 99, thats what I have. You still need to reposition the security horn + reroute the coolant hoses.

yea i already bought it just waiting to get it now... When i do im going to need you guys to help put it in...

I have an 03 Type S I'm thinking of getting one too. Anyone put it on a Type S yet? Does it make any difference?

I have an 03 TL Type S. To be perfectly honest, you can't really feel much of a difference in performance with the CAI. I have the AEM CAI and I couldn't really feel anything with just the CAI. Although, I did notice better mileage and the sound is awesome. Makes v-tec sound so much better. From what I hear on the boards, the comptech icebox may yeild higher gains, but I still doubt you'll actually feel a difference. In my opinion, if your going to do any performance mods to your car, the CAI would most likely be the first thing so go for it. I love mines.
