99 TL: Exactly 59,000 miles the check engine light came on.
anyone else with the same? Is there a list of reasons as to why the light comes on?

 

There isn't such a list saying why the engine light comes on....
But I'll say most of problems come from O2 sensor.
For proper check, just take it to dealer and have them check it for you. Better.....

 

Ther are dozens of reasons why it may come on .Yhere are probably fifty or sixty engine codes alone so a run to the dealer is probably in order.Jens

 

My check engine light came on last week. Acura told me it was a misfire in the engine after they hooked it up to the computer. Cause... uncertain but they think it is due to bad gas. No real fix. However, i noticed the engine accelerates a bit rougher since the incident. Don't know if it is psychological or not.

Take it into the dealer to get the code to find out what it is.
