Check Engine

Where is the wiring located that you hook up the thing to check to find out what code your check engine is?

fsttyms1, ya got a 02 TL Type-S? check out the top of your engine cover, there's a wierd thingie in the center (you dont have to open anything besides your hood) that looks like some type of connector. i'm probably just being dumb, and maybe it's a dumb question to you, but i guess i'm kinda curious

I think you're talking about the MAP sensor harness. Don't touch that.

He's asking about the OBDII dataport, which is located underneath the coin tray on the '02 TL, and underneath the steering column on the '03 TL.

Manifold Absolute Pressure...

manifold absolute pressure sensor, a variable resistor used to monitor the difference in pressure between the intake manifold at outside atmosphere.
