Cheaper alternative for fog light replacements

Cheaper alternative for fog light replacements
Used Philips Blue Vision 9006 BV and was a pretty good match for the HIDs. Also replaced the 9005s with the Blue Visions so the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) are brighter & whiter. Cheap too...$11.97 (CDN) each.
Don't use the method as stated in the owner's manual to replace the fog lights. I went underneath and detached the plastic shield and replaced the bulbs. Much easier...took no more than 2 mins per side.
Sylvania Cool Blues are another alternative, but I didn't try them...they are also $11.97 (CDN) each

I bought the 9005BV too by Phillips, but I installed them on my fogs. Needed some minor modification, but I wanted a brighter bulb. Not really impressive by the phillips because it still look yellow, but it is definitely brighter than stock.

I tried the Hipers first, cost $24 shipped from the groupbuy. They were the whitest bulb, very good match for HIDs. But for some reason, one blew out in a month. So, I decided in getting the Phillips Blue Vision or Slyvania Cool Blues because I am not spending over 100 bucks for Piaa Plasma just for fogs. I saw the output of the Slyvania in my friend's integra and was not impressed. So, I went to the nearest Kmart and bought 9005 instead of 9006, and made some modification so they would fit in the socket. The output was not as white as the Hipers I had, but it was bright and I could see the road a whole lot better. These are the bulbs that I have use in my old accord:
- Eurolite Hyperwhites - (40bucks) but lasted less than 3 months
- Piaa Plasmas - ($125) but lasted less than 8 months
- Piaa Platiniums ($75) last almost 2 years, but not as white as the Plasmas
- Hipers by Hiper Industries ($22) - lasted more than 5 months and was still working when I sold the car. But they didn't last too long in my TypeS.

I bought the new Catz bulbs (forget the model name) for around $55 and they match perfectly. I installed them the way the manual suggested which took about 5 min. total. If these bulbs blow, then I'll be looking into cheaper ones b/c I'm not spending $50 a pop.....
