Certified My back end

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a Certified 2002 TL-S it came with the body kit and I got it for 22,500. I was under the impression the Certified meant that it went though a complete inspection before I purchased the car. 2 days after purchase I had to make an appointment, they told me 'Front Rotors Severly Warped. Not able to be Machined'! I just got my car back from the dealer again, they told me 'Intake air Control valve Operating insufficiently' Ohhh and I got the Trans Recall done at the same time. I know that I didn't pay for any of these fixes but it is annoying that I purchased a ''''CERTIFIED'''' car and it has been in the shop twice all ready. :fingerfawk: :sqntfawk: Sorry I just had to vent.

Ohhhh also to make things worse, I was driving home the first time I got my car fixed and a rock flew up from someone's car and cracked my windshield. My insurance covered it but can I just say that was the just want I needed.

It's all good....let them do the work. I got my car with 5k left on the standard warranty. Bought it used and they did everything I wanted under warranty and 5k past warranty. The car was in the shop 50% of the time I had it for the first three months. They must either love me there or hate me...

Warranty Work That WAS Done:

1. My front seat creaked...got new rails,
2. Driver side leather seat was dis-colored, small cracks...they replace the leather cover
3. The sunroof rattled, they replaced the whole unit before they figured out it was a bushing,
4. Free transmission flush, said I felt the tranny shifted slow (you get one free flush under warranty)
5. Wind noise, they replaced the door seals on the driver door
6. Had a starting issue, Fuel Preasure Regulator was replaced
7. HU did not play CDR...Said it Jammed and upgraded to a 2002 6 disc in-dash changer, plays CDRs
8. Center consol cup holder cover, it wasn't flat when closed, replaced and got a free 2002 cup holder too
9. Save the best for last, since I had the Fuel preasure regulator changed and had the tranny flushes, they swapped out my ECU to prevent possible tranny failure since there was a timing change in the newer ECU.

Got to love all the work that was done....and all for free

"certified" means that it comes with an extended warranty on top of the standard warranty. Still messed up that they gave you the car like that though. I know they put in through a 110 (?) point inspection but i am sure they wont replace anything that is not noticable.

Certified doesn't mean shit. You are basically paying for an extended warranty with the car.

Certified means nothing. Acura has got to be the least helpful dealership out there
