Ceramic Tint Film
Hey,
Any of you guys know anything about Ceramic based tint film? It is not suppose to interfer with the windshield GPS antenna. The stuff is outrageously expensive..$300 for a TL.......... Double what regular metallic costs......Is there any merit to this stuff or is this simply another rip....

Go to Pablo Blue (Nasa Rd. 1 in Webster). He will install the metallic tint and the rear window will be installed in one piece for $190. You will not regret this place.
You are getting a bunch of hype from someone.

Yep, wish I had gone to Pablo Blue! I used the guy that Acura uses and only paid $125 and he came out to me. However, the job is not "perfect" several micro bubbles from the job not being done in a "contained" area. I would have rather paid the extra $65 for an absolutely PERFECT job.
Go to Pablo Blue, it will be worth the extra money and effort!

pablo blue removes the rear deck and the sub woofer cover. he does not touch the door panels because he does not need to. I have taken many cars there (Camaro SS vert, Camaro Z28, couple of TL-S, vettes) and never had a problem.
I drive 45 miles (all the way from Kingwood) in order to get these guys to tint my cars.
You will never regret it.

MVS,
I wish you had posted this info. about 2 months back! Like I said, I used Acura's guy and am not 100% satisfied...and only saved $65 bucks. Live and learn!
I hate those little mirco bubbles on the tint!
Anyone still having an option...use Pablo Blue!!!!

have pablo blue remove your old rear tint and install a new one. you will probably break even on the $65 savings from your other tint. Give them a call and see if they will give you a deal.

Man I haven't been to Pablo in a looong time! But, on the back window, he got it all to stick "clean", even on the bumps on the top of the back window? I have a few spots that it didnt.

There is no need for ceramic tint on the TL with Navi. I got my TL-S Navi done with Formula One all metal tint film and no problems with the Navi.
Metallic tint might be a problem on some other cars but not the TL.
