Question CD Changer

Anyone install a cd changer with the original manufacturer receiver? If so, what brand is compatible? I heard Alpine. Any other brands? Do I need just the changer or fm modulator, etc. Also, will a 6 disk changer fit in the glove compartment? Your input will be helpful. Thanks!

Thumbs up

The Alpine CHM-S620 will work directly with your factory head unit. Some other Alpine models may also be compatible. You'll have to get the adapter, though. Streeteffectz sells both the adapter and the changer at a good price. Shoot him an e-mail at streeteffectz@home and let him know what you need.

yep, alpine plugs in with the adapter perfectly. Some shops can rewire your changer plug so no adapter in needed. Thats how mine are done in the TL and my wife's civic.

What I want to know is if the Alpine fits into the factory Acura mounting kit for the changer.... I'm thinking of adding it this summer...

I carry the changer for $287 and the adapter for $75 plus shipping. I THINK the alpine changer will fit in the factory mounting bracket, but don't hold me to it

So the changer does not come with the bracket to bolt it under the rear deck??
