Car value

I'm planning on tradding my '99 3.2TL (non-navigation) for either a 2000-2001 CL Type-S or TL Type-S. I checked at (www.kbb.com // Kelly's Blue Book) and for a trade-in to a dealership, my car is worth $15,215 and for a private party trade-in, it's worth $17,885. I was wondering on how much 2000-2001 CL or TL Type-S's go for (used). The reason why my car is worth so little is because the person that had the car before me put 45,000 miles on it. And I have currently put about 6,000 miles since I have had it since August of 2001. Also, is it safe to buy cars over ebay because I have found good prices on it.

This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't buy a car from ebay.
You're buying something more than $20K worth of value.
Think again!

Would you pay for that kind of $$ and buy such a thing without looking at it personally??? I never would!!!

(If you've seen it personally, that's different story, though..)

True, but eBay seems pretty legit too me, but I see where you guys are coming from. *sigh* I want to get rid of my TL and get a Type-S...The whole point of this subject was for people to tell me the prices of used CL or TL Type-S's.

just keep looking....i'm sure you can upgrade to a used TL S for a reasonable price soon....patience is the key....personally, i don't think i could go from TL to a CL......i'm kinda in the same boat you're in, i have a 99 as well, and I love the upgraded look of the Type S....but I think I'm going to wait for the new redesign of the 2004s before I do any trade-ins.

2004 is right around the corner in the automobile business

good luck

I posted a threed earlier about the 2003 - 2004. The CL Type-S comes in 6 speed STICK! Finally, Acura does something about the gay Tiptronic Auto-stick.

Ask Ed(Shoofin'TL) about value. Maybe he'll help you out with the price.

I bought my 01TL in the yr 2000 and 6 months later the 02 TL-S came out. This year, i was thinking about upgrade to TL-S too,but my saleman told me to wait. He says the 04 is gonna look like one of those European car.
