Car stuck in park

Hello this morning my car was stuck in park. I tried rocking the car back and forth but hat did nothing. So I went on youtube and found this
. Which fixed it, however only temporary. I would have to do this each time if I want to drive my car.

Any idea what caused this? And how can I fix it? Thanks.

There is a shift interlock switch associated with the brake pedal. The fuse may need to be replaced or possibly the switch itself.

Check to see if your brake lights go on when you hit the brake pedal. If they don't, the button in front of the pedal could be dead.
Not sure on part numbers, but climb into your footwell and take a look! I just started having this issue yesterday myself.
