Car alarm system?

It depends what features you get. You could get one for $50 or one for $500. Check online. Clifford and Viper are popular brands.
It might be hard to find out if it 'beeps' though before you buy it.

I have a Clifford 3.3x remote start/alarm. The chirps on the siren are very soft when arming and disarming, yet the siren is loud when its set off. It also honks the horn like the factory alarm if its set off. The impact sensor is remotely adjustable so you can set it up from the remote, which is awesome.
I also used one of the 3 aux outputs to close the sunroof when i arm it. All i needed was one extra relay to do the sunroof.
Pretty slick little mod.

the alarm system in our car actually produces the "beep" sound from the brain itself. the only way to get it to reproduce the factory "beep" in our cars is to tear apart the factory keypad and hook up relays to create the contact needed to recreate you pressing the button twice.
i did it in the past but removed it because its not worth it. especially if you lack soldering skills because you will destroy it.
find a comparable peizo siren. or steal one from a toyota.
