this thread kinda gives an idea of what open end look like, but he has extended lugs which is why they stick out past the end of the lug nut. I like it but can't really imagine how good it would look on my car. I'm not really going for the whole "tuner" look just "sporty" lol if that makes sense. there's also a pretttttyyyyyy funny video in there lololol.

It depends on the wheel. Pics of current setup?

what type of wheels first of all

but i put closed, and the reason being is that closed lugs help keep the studs/threads cleaner, cause dirt cannot get to the threads as easily (also don't forget to put a little anti-sieze on the studs; makes it torque easier, which also means you don't have to "jump" on the lug wrench to loosen them)

idk, only issue i see is that the car itself is a completely different red then what the lug nuts would be more, so not quite "matching"

Closed. Open-ended lugs will rust.

You know you're a car freak when you can't decide over lug nuts.

That being said, I'd stick with closed nuts. if you're going to paint them any distinctive colour though, get open-ended. My

valid points and i appreciate the opinions!

and reactions to "titanium burn"? too ricey? I like them, but idk how they would look on my car... or would anyone like to suggest a color? I'm trying to ditch the silver ones as everyone has silver lug nuts.

Something along these lines (color wise). Each brand has their own amount of color they put on them. These have very little from what I have seen. But I think I'm going to go with close ended.

I think that close ended black nuts would look good. I personally have black nuts and I like how it matches my calipers. It also doesn't distract from my wheels and I'm going for a darker look anyway.

Slightly OT, but have you considered painting your rims gold? I think it would look great on your colour car, and you could probably get lugs the same colour as your body.

^ i wanted gold rims originally. I went with silver because of the trim, grill, exhaust, tailights etc. to get the matching thing goin on lol. but i love red and gold. saw an IS at a meet with my rims except his were gold and he had a red car. but he had to black out all of his trim n stuff.

Iv seen black lugnuts on fpr TL's. firepr2002's tl (hope u dn't mind!) I like them but then I look at silver ones side by side and I like them too because theyre brighter and give off a different look. then i become stumped on what to do.

I was also looking on honda tech at their OFFICIAL LUG NUT PICTURE THREAD of which there is 44 pages of lugnuts and wheel setups. lots of "random" combinations that look pretty good. i would definetly check it out if you can. any opinions on gold lug nuts?

A friend of mine has the red fade to black ones, they look really cool

honestly if you grease your studs up good open ended lugs wont hurt anything by any means
