Can someone help identify a part?

Hello everyone,

Finally got my 2001 TL on the road. i noticed whenever I turn the car on, even just get it in accessory mode, i am getting a clicking noise just under the glove box to the left. I did some poking around and can actually see the part. It seems to be some sort of diverter motor. I am trying to pull up the diagrams for the car online but cant seem to pinpoint it. It has a metal rod going to it and it seems to move back and forth. It never does move, it just keeps clicking like its trying to move but must have failed or something.

Does anyone know what this is? it looks like ill have to remove the console and everything to get to it. Wanted to grab one from a scrap car before I start taking everything apart.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

So it's in the passenger footwell near the center console? It could be the Mix Motor which can have a missing tooth. There are a few threads on here that address those issues.
