Center Armrest

Do any of you guys hear a creaking noise whenever you pull out the center armrest and place your arm on it? I feel like its about to break or something whenever I rest my arm there while I'm driving. I pulled up on it a little bit the other day, and it felt like the piece was coming loose.. any help is appreciated!

check any screws and tighten them? my tsx had that problem a lot - not my TL though. Perhaps somebody else here has that problem - but you can go to the dealer and ask them to fix it.

No problems on mine. But my 03 did. Most of all the screws had come off and it did sound like it was going to break. I would suggest checking the screws like vikrampatel said.

When I open my center console it's a light squeak, but when I close it, it's very loud. Just had it in the shop last week and forgot to mention it to the service guy. I'll get it looked at next time I go in.

My armrest makes noise on the passanger side with it retracted back only. This happens only when either I or a passanger rest an arm on it and the car goes over a bump. It's the material rubbing against the aluminum trim below it. I will talk to the dealer about it the next time I go in. But I do not have your problem. I would imagine that it is simply loose like everyone else said. If tightening the screws under the armrest cover doesn't help, then it may need to be replaced. There may be too much play on the tracks that the arm rest slides on.
