can single disc be played in cd player

Can our cd player plays the single disc? The smaller version of a regular cd-about half the size of it. I have a couple of those that have nice song i wanna play but afraid of messing up the cd player. I'm broke, so i dun have money to repair.

Don't DO IT!!!!!! You'll ruin your player!!! Only players that can play those small discs are the ones with TRAYS like CD-ROM drives or home 5-disc changers.

Go look in your Acura Owner's manual to make sure, but I'm sure it will state "please don't play 8cm discs in your TL's Bose system".

I have tried this on another cd player( A HIGHER END ONE) and all that happens is your 8cm cd gets stuck in the player and you call the company that makes it and say
" Im pretty stupid to ask this but how can I fix my player? "

JUST DONT DO IT!!

Actually I have an Alpine car CD player that is compatible with the small disk. It says so right on the face plate. It doesn't have a tray. I never had one of those small CDs to try though.

Hi, this is me

Writing from Japan.
My 2002 TL has HONDA genuine BOSE 6 CD changer system that will be similar to yours.

The system provided me "8cm CD adapter" also.
The adapter has the size of normal 12cm CD and there is a hole for 8cm CD in the center.
I don't have the exact picture of my adapter but the similar one is here.

Using this adapter, BOSE describes that we can use 8cm CD in our CD changer.
However please check with BOSE USA if your model can accept 8cm CD adapter.

It is quite easy.

Put the 8cm CD into the inner circle of the adapter and fix the CD using latches around the circle.
When it is done, the adapter looks like an ordinary 12cm CD although the optical area is small.

My BOSE changer can eat (*^_^*) this adapter as same as 12cm CD and play it without any problem.
But now most single CDs are also 12cm, and also my BOSE has a capability of playing burnt CD without any problem.
However I agree with you that you burn a new 12cm CD from your favorite 8cm by PC.

I don't have any of translation program in my PC.
The reason for my broken up English is just only I don't know English well since I am not a native speaker.
If you feel uncomfortable with my English, I apologize to you.

Na, your English is good. In fact, its probably better than some of the players on this board  t least you try to use it correctly, unlike many of us who take it for granted. Thanks for the info and pic. Interesting to see what toys you have available in Japan.

Glad to know that my information was interesting for you.

You may already know that HONDA has introduced new Accord in Japan.
I think that it looks quite different from the one in your country.

HONDA also started to sell Accord Wagon and Accord Euro-R.

If you are interested in anything about these and you have a difficulty of understanding Japanese languages in these web pages, please feel free to let me help you.
