Busted a nut

I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem. My car is currently in the shop because one of the bolts snapped in half when I was changing my wheels.
On Saturday I put my summer wheels on in hopes to go to the Woodbridge meet. (never happened) but when I put the wrench on the nut, it was completely off center, like they put it in crooked. Park Ave Acura was the last place to take the tire off just a few days earlier. Luckily they are going to change it for free but I'm curious if this has ever happened to anyone else.

I had that happen to me before with my old Maxima, 3 times in different tires due to this idiots at the dealers that use the air gun instead of putting the nuts by hand and then try to torque them, HELLO! is already as tight as its going to get moron.
Sorry but I feel your pain on this one. At least they are changing the stud and putting the correct nut back in, in my case that never happen and I ended up with different nut on all 3 tires.

You guys should put some anti-seize compound on the threads of the studs. You will never have that problem again.

It happens all the time, Impact tools don`t care if you start the threads, or antiseze. When you get payed minium wage you just put them on, crossthreaded or not. Their easy enoth to replace, they just punch out then in. Tire stores are famious for crossthreading.

Yup, I had the same thing happen. Was in a hurry and had a tire shop swap out a tire. They must have used an impact wrench and stripped the threads big time.
