Brake light problem, need help

here's whats going on... both of the bulbs in each of my tail lights turn on when i turn on my lights. however, when i press the brake, only 3 of the four bulbs become brighter. i can't figure out what is wrong. (btw, the brake light indicator on my dash has come on because of this problem). Anyone have any ideas?

sounds to me like the bulb is burnt out, as these bulbs are kind of like a high and low beam set up ie dual filiment for parking light and brake light, if I where you I would change the bulb and go from there, if its electrical you'll know, if a brand new bulb does the same thing then you might be looking at a trip to the dealer, hope this helps

its not a problem, its just the bulb has burned out...cost $4 at any auto parts store and takes 2 minutes to replace them.

it's really easy to do it yourself. bulb# is 7443 for the lower ones and 7440 for the top-mount

try another brand bulb?

or you can try swapping the bulbs that work to see if its the plug and not the bulbs?
